Custom powder coated rims! Our Process Below:

  • Customer brings wheels with tire and other components removed to T&B

  • Rims soak in a coating stripping solution then a neutralizing tank to remove any previous coating

  • Next, they’re pressure washed to remove any remaining loose debris

  • After that, they move to the sandblast cabinet to achieve a uniform anchor profile for maximum new coating adhesion

    • Minor removal of extreme road rash happens at this point

  • Following a thorough inspection, they’re brought to the oven where they bake at 425° to remove any contaminants that may remain in the metal

    • Sometimes a second sand blasting is required at this point

  • After this, they are cleaned with a superheated steam, degreaser, and etching solution

  • Wheels are then put back in the oven to ensure they’re completely dry

  • The selected paint color is applied in our state-of-the-art paint booth

    • If wheels are steel, a base primer coat is applied before the final color

  • Then they go into the oven for a final cure at ~400°

  • The last step is always a thorough inspection of completed project to ensure perfection!
